So when the new Feed My Lips Color Balm came out, I thought why not and placed an order. These balms and glosses are 100% Vegan and 93% naturally derived from pomegranate, avocado, and moisturizing fruit butters with a vanilla mint flavor. Because I am very fair skinned, I chose the Cucamelon (rich rose pink balm) and the Sweet Kiwano (shiny rose blush gloss). The balm is very pigmented and goes on evenly leaving a smooth creamy feeling while the gloss glides over the lips enhancing the balmy pink rose color. I always use lipliner and chose a Aveda lipliner I had bought in MO last year which is also a pink/mauve color. I don't see it on the site so they may have discontinued it. The closest I would say to what I have is the color Bayberry.
So my thoughts on this new product...I love the lipliner because it does not bleed (I'm pushing 50 (48 to be exact) and yes...I have fine lines around my lips!!). The staying power is great and can last through a slice of pizza...or two :-). It does not pull your lips when you apply it and is almost creamy in texture. I found the balm to feel very nourishing and loved the light sparkle of the gloss. The texture and smell are great and can be layered to create a darker hue on your lips without feeling drying on the lips. I wore this product 3 days this week, once to training with the dogs, cleaning around the house, and through a pizza dinner. The balm and gloss missed the mark during dinner when it wiped off but I still like the product and am glad I ordered it.
