Frozen yogurt blueberries

Sep 15, 2019 | Pets, Treat Recipes

I had a completely different post written and ready to go out and THEN…I walked into Kroger and saw these JUMBO blueberries from Family Tree Farms!!!  I knew exactly what I was going to do with them…head over to the yogurt section, buy a container of Chobani Plain Greek Yogurt and make these delicious, healthy yogurt covered blueberries for Jake and Maggie!!

Honestly, this recipe is soooooo simple.  It takes two ingredients which are berries and yogurt.  I washed off the berries and dried them.  Then I used a toothpick to poke, plop into the yogurt and onto the plate and into the freezer for an hour!  That’s it.  I started to cover the whole berry but liked the blue showing against the white.  Jake and Maggie love blueberries and yogurt.  Now they can have two in one!  These are even fun for Thomas and I to eat if we want.

And if you are wondering if your dog can have Greek yogurt…yes, they can!  Unless your dog is lactose intolerant, plain Greek yogurt is better and safer for dogs than other types of yogurt. It contains more concentrated levels of probiotics (live cultures of bacteria), which do good things for a dog’s gut.

But…I do have one recommendation…make sure you use parchment paper (which I did not do) because my frozen berries stuck to my plate and I had pick them off.  Ooops!!  They still look good though :-).

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you try these, let me know how they turned out!
