"Maggie loves to climb up on her daddy, lick his head and then look out the window". "He has 73 pounds sitting on his shoulder". LOL
"Jake just loves to relax".
"Maggie went looking for me and had to show me her new chewy". "The lighting was bad but I just had to snap that photo!"
"Always kissing"
It was a great trip except for Maggie having an accident on our carpet. I did not realize that she wanted to go outside and instead thought she wanted to play "ball". So instead of taking her out, I grabbed her ball and started throwing it and she reacted with excitement...so who knew? A few minutes into our game, she urinated on the carpet. So for all you pet owners out there, here is an all natural, quick, and easy remedy to eliminate pet odor and stains.
- Dap up the accident with paper towels
- Pour Distilled White Vinegar directly on the affected spot or use a spray bottle
- Dab up with paper towels and sprinkle the area with baking soda
- Let dry overnight and vacuum up
I've been told that spraying the spot with vinegar using a spray bottle works fine but I pour it on. I want to be sure the vinegar is breaking down the acid in the urine or vomit. I dap up any excess vinegar and cover with baking soda. Due to its acidic nature, vinegar can neutralize the ammonia from dog urine, helping to eliminate the smell.
As for our hardwood floors back home, I like to use a vinegar, water, lemon oil combination. The smell of the lemon is so refreshing and clean. I've read that adding some olive oil into the mixture can give your floors a glossy look but I have not done that yet.
- Use 1 cup of warm water
- Use 1 cup of Distilled White Vinegar
- 3 drops of lemon oil
- Don't forget to use a glass spray bottle or dish for this combination as any plastic will absorb the oils
With the holidays fast approaching, your pet might have some anxiety during all the festivities and accidents might occur. When your making your grocery list, don't forget to include these items to have on hand just in case.
Jake and Maggie want to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and Happy NewYear! Thank you reading our blog. Don't forget to share with friends! See you next year!!
