Trips With Pets

Sep 14, 2018 | Pet Health, Pets

Thomas and I have been wanting to plan a few short vacations with the pups but have had a difficult time finding hotels that allow pets. Jake is now 82 pounds and Maggie just got weighed in at 70 pounds. The majority of the hotels that I found had weight limits per dog and sometimes didn’t allow more than one dog per room. In my searches, I recently came across a website www.tripswithpets.com that provides information on where to stay with your pet, activities, attractions, restaurants and even breweries that you and your pet can enjoy. You can even find hotel and airline policies pertaining to your pets stay.

We have two trips planned right now to Sugarcreek, OH in October and Nashville, TN next spring. I booked a cabin on 42 acres in Ohio through Air BNB but is still conveniently located to all shopping and restaurants. There is a pond on the property and fire pit and we think Jake and Maggie are going to love it. We know we will. I found a pub that allows pets on their outdoor patio so we will definitely check that out. (More to come on the blog after we take our trip!). We will be spending winter and spring in Missouri again and St. Louis is dog friendly. Who knows the four of us will get into then :-). Nashville is a short 5 hour drive from our house in Missouri so we will make a stop downtown and then onto Franklin, TN, a lovely historic town located 20 minutes outside Nashville. The pups are going to be accumulating alot of travel miles!

Whether you and your pet are seasoned travelers or this is your first time traveling with your fur baby, TripsWithPets.com makes the process of finding the right #pet friendly accommodations easy by offering online booking at over 30,000 hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts, vacation rentals, and cabins that welcome pets across the United States and Canada. Check it out and let me know what you think!
