Three Dog Bakery

Dec 30, 2019 | Health, Pets

Now that Christmas is over and the house is put back together and as promised, I can get back to blogging.   I am so excited to tell you the good news…drum roll…

Jake and Maggie are officially TDI certified and received their certifications from Therapy Dog International.  I’m waiting until the new year and then we can get started on our volunteer work.  The next on our agenda is acquiring volunteer hours and getting them qualified for the PitPaws Program at the Pittsburgh Airport.  I made the biggest deal by giving the pups lots of hugs and kisses.  They had no idea why but they always love the attention.  We got out their vests (which I have to now order “Therapy Dog” to replace the “Therapy Dog In Training” velcro tags) and headed to Busy Beaver and Lowes!

We celebrated that evening by going to the quaint town of Sewickly, PA and bought Jake and Maggie homemade dog treats from Three Dog Bakery.  They allow dogs in their store but it was our date night so we left the pups at home.  They were tired from their big day at the home improvement stores.  They are getting pretty good at helping their parents pick out paint and building materials :-). We had dinner at LuLu’s which is a Wine and Tapas bar where we had a glass of wine, fish bites, cheese and broccoli soup, and fried Brussel sprouts.  After dinner, we headed to the bakery where we met and talked to Maggie and Diane who were so sweet.   They helped us narrow down from the beautiful selection of healthy treats, a special “Good Job” treat for the pups.  If you are in the area, stop in and say hello.  They have not only treats and cakes, but the most adorable pet pillows and merchandise!  The bakery’s ambiance matches the quaintness of the town and we will definitely be back!!  Next time will be with Jake and Maggie 🙂

I do to! I did a post on Treats Unleashed awhile back. I found it by accident one day and bought some fun and healthy treats for the dogs.
