Juicy Onion Mushroom Burger On A Butter Grilled Bun
Ingredients and Instructions:
Hamburger:
1 pound lean ground hamburger meat
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
Mix together, form into two flat patties, and cook to your liking
Onions:
1 small sweet onion
1 cup plain bread crumbs (sometimes I used Italian seasoned crumbs)
1 large egg
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
1/2 cup Canola Oil
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
Mix dry ingredients together, dip cut onions into egg and then bread crumb mixture, and fry in oil until crispy
Mushrooms:
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
2 tablespoons butter (I used Land O’ Lakes salted butter)
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
White cheddar cheese
Melt butter, Olive oil, and Worcestershire sauce together, add sliced mushrooms, salt and pepper and saute’ until soft. Add the cheddar cheese over the entire pan and let soften for a few seconds.
I chose to buy large hamburger buns made by the Kroger bakery, sliced and covered both sides in butter, and melted in a pan face down on the stove until the edges were crispy. I then started my layering by first laying the meat, white cheddar cheese, onions, mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, and then shredded parmesan cheese again. The heat from the hamburger will help melt the cheese but if you want a more gooey texture, put in the microwave for a few seconds. Enjoy!!!!
