Hello! My name is Jonas. I have come a long way here in my time at the shelter. The staff have worked really hard to bring me out of my shell, and they’re so proud of the progress I have made. Before, I would shy away and hide my face from you, but now, I’m ready to find a family to love all on my own. I like to be brushed and I have a few best friends at the shelter who I spend most of my days with. They are the best, but they know that the family I am meant to be with is out there somewhere. I would probably do best with older kids or teens, and a quieter home. I’m a sweet lovebug ready to get on living the rest of my life with my family. Please come meet me today!

Hello! My name is Carmen! I came into the shelter as a stray. People had been trying to catch me for months! When they finally caught me, I learned how to trust again. I was very scared when I first arrived, but the shelter staff has helped me come out of my shell a lot! Everyday I am getting more and more comfortable with the people here, but I am ready to finally have a family that will show me all the love in the world! I can be a little shy at first, but please don’t let that discourage you. Once I learn to trust you, I’m as loving and playful as they come. Since I can be so shy when meeting new people, I would do best in an adults only home. I recently met some dog friends here at the shelter and we have gotten along great! I could potentially go home with other dogs but I’ll need to meet them first. No cats, please! Please come and visit me today; I’ve been wanting a home of my own for so long now.

Hello!  My name is Izzie!  I have been at the shelter since February, can you believe it?  I came in very, very scared and the staff has worked so hard to get me used to people.  I made a friend in one of our staff members, so she has worked for months with me and even took me home to foster!  Now I am ready to find my real furever home.  I would do best in a quiet home with no kids and not a lot of activity.  My adopter will need to be patient with me and allow me to grow and adjust to their home.  Once I settle in, I love to play and I love having my back petted.  If you hit the right spot, I will dissolve into a rolling, purring ball of kitty.  I would do best as the only animal in the home so that I can let everything go at my own pace!  I’m so beautiful, and at 10, I’ve been waiting too long for my very own forever…  Come visit me today!

Hi! My name is Ox. What a peculiar name don’t you think? If you know a thing or two about Oxen, you’ll know that typically they have what is called an “ox-driver” who gives them commands and keeps them in check…well I, myself am looking for my very own ox-driver! I can be a handful, so I do need someone who is willing to put in some obedience training with me and teach me some manners. I need an ox-driver with a strong voice and a loving heart, someone who will teach me my commands, earn my loyalty, but also maybe let me on the couch sometimes? All ox-driver jokes aside, I really am looking for a family who will love me for the rest of my days. I can be a big goon and if you aren’t careful, I’ll knock you right over! My rough-housing is all out of love of course! I can be mouthy and very high energy, so I do need multiple meets to make sure you’re comfortable with my quirks and energy level. I can play with other dogs, but when I’m…you guessed it – stubborn as an ox – I can bug the other dogs and they sometimes don’t want to play with me anymore. I would do best in a home that did not have cats or small children, I’m just too much dog for either of them!

Ox is application only! If you would like more information please stop by or give us a call!

Hello! My name is Vianca! My name is unique because I am a one of a kind lady. I am a pitbull mix and as you know, pitbulls are one of the snuggliest, loveliest, and cuddliest breeds around. The staff here at the shelter adore me; they love to take me for walks, throw tennis balls for me, and feed me snacks. I love soaking up all the attention; I was born to be spoiled! Shelter life is unfortunately not the life that I should be living; being here makes me anxious and very stressed out. The staff try their best to help me through it, most of them have even learned a Relaxation Protocol to help me wind down. I am a very smart girl and enjoy learning new types of training and tricks. When I’m not hard at work and impressing the staff, I love to spend my day gobbling up snacks, sitting in people’s laps, and listening to soft jazz music. I do not like cats and would really prefer to be the only dog in the home, after all I am quite used to being the center of attention. I’ve never been around kids, so I would need to meet them and find out. If my gorgeous good looks and dazzling personality have nearly won you over, please come meet me today so I can finish stealing your heart!

If my new home does not have a fenced yard (although this would be ideal), our walking route should be a quiet, low traffic area. While at the shelter, I am learning to walk by other dogs without a problem, but it would be an easier transition for me (and you) if I did not need to be in a high dog-traffic area right away. With time, the staff believes I will be ok.

My name is Lexi! I am the sweetest little lady looking for the most perfect home! I have a lot of love to give, but I’ve had a really diffficult time finding a family that will love me unconditionally. I sometimes have problems finding a dog that I like! To be honest, I really just want to take naps and get some affection, a dog who wants to play all the time just annoys me! Because a lot of dogs are too hyper for me, I can not go home with any other animals. I also can not go to a home with small children. Like I said before, I really just want to find a peaceful home! I am looking for a respectful family who can understand when I want just cuddle but will also be ready to play with me! I really enjoy playing with my toys and goofing around, I have a lot of energy! I could play all day as long as I have a friend to give me some attention. I’ll be by your side forever if you let me! Considering how much I love belly rubs and pets, you can understand why I am upset to be here. Don’t let my barking in the kennel or my serious face fool you! I am the sweetest gal. Please come and visit me today!

I have learned that I absolutely love Zeus! I can be picky about my playmates, but when I find somebody I really like- I could play for days! If a dog meets me slowly, I tend to be more comfortable around them! Don’t count me out- you might just be the perfect match for me!
